Pressure

Pressure measurement includes instruments for absolute, gauge, and differential pressure, used directly for pressure monitoring and indirectly to infer level and flow in many applications. Pressure technology is widely applied to liquids, pastes, and gases, and Endress+Hauser emphasizes broad sensor technology coverage to fit diverse applications and operating envelopes. 

Within the portfolio, absolute/gauge and differential pressure measurement are both represented, aligning to use cases such as vessel pressure control, pump/compressor protection, filter monitoring, hydrostatic level, and differential-pressure flow schemes. Newer Cerabar and Deltabar transmitters are positioned as bridging pressure measurement into IIoT-oriented architectures.

Differential pressure solutions include “smart” transmitter designs for DP monitoring in liquids and gases, including metal membrane constructions. Product examples indicate enhanced diagnostics such as detecting process anomalies (e.g., plugged impulse lines), supporting faster fault localization and more proactive maintenance decisions.

Pressure measurement also supports compact, hygienic implementations. A compact product approach is described that includes a compact radar for non-contact level, a point level sensor, and a reliable pressure transmitter for pressure and hydrostatic level measurement—specifically designed to meet hygienic requirements while improving productivity, safety, and simplicity.

Typical applications span reactors and vessels, pipelines, steam and utility systems, filtration skids, dosing systems, tank farms, and sanitary processes. Robust performance depends on correct selection of process connection and wetted materials, protection against overpressure and temperature transients, impulse line/remote seal design where applicable, and the desired degree of digital communication and diagnostics integration.
